A Super-dee-duper Quick Life Update

Whooooooo boy. It has been a long few weeks.

Some of you may be unaware, but my mom had a bilateral double mastectomy. Then, I got sick with the flu and strep and then it was my birthday, and now Danielle and Greg are were back in town this past week. So, there's just been a lot going on.

Normally, when I write a blog post, I spend some time thinking about it and develop an idea, but I haven't really had the chance to do that, so today's is basically just a stream of consciousness. I'm honestly not really sure what to talk about, because as of late, I really feel like I don't have much to say. Maybe it's because I'm so tired. I actually just think I've hit a bit of creative block.

Today's post will probably be shorter than normal, which really sucks because I haven't written a blog in so long. But, it is what it is, I suppose.

Over all, things at home have been really good! It's been a recovery period for my mom. I've been doing a lot of cooking and cleaning and grocery shopping. Which, I actually don't mind. It kind of makes me feel like a house wife in the fifties.

I've officially applied to Parker University, which is in Dallas, for their Nutrition program. I'm actually super excited to get in and started. I love science, and I feel like doing Nutrition will be good for me. I think it's a stepping stone to even bigger and better things.

After everything that happened in December, I've been wanting to do an interview piece with the people that were there/involved/came to see me or just want to participate. I wanted to a video, almost like how I Am Second does theirs. Someone suggested to me doing phone interviews, but if I'm honest, I don't know how I feel about that. I'd really like to do a video. It's all been put on hold, of course, with this whole COVID-19 stuff. So, we'll see.

However, if you want to be a part of it, let me know!

Life has been a little weird lately. There really isn't much going on right now, and I'm really glad things have slowed down for the time being.

I see my hematologist on April 10th, so I'll have to see what she says. I'm hoping things don't get crazy again.

I've been doing a lot of content writing for my uncle's moving company's website too! That's been pretty cool. I've been writing scripts and essays, and the like for my classes. And, I'm working on moving my novel into it's manuscript format. Which is actually really exciting. I'm hoping to be finished with my novel, Secrets in Ashes, by the end of May.

I've been having some plot problems, but fingers crossed they'll resolve themselves!

Maybe at some point I'll share an excerpt of it. Or maybe the first chapter? I don't know. We'll just have to see.

I'm really glad I've found ways to spend my time as of late. My current hobby is playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. (Here's my friend code if you want to add me: SW-1819-9461-9496) I really like how it's a bit more like Minecraft now, but still keeps the same Animal Crossing cheerful goodness. I've also been reading some, and I'm always open for recommendations, as well as giving them. Just hit me up if you want a good book to read! I have plenty of suggestions.

Netflix has also been my best friend. My current binge is Hart of Dixie, which is really cute? I think next, I may watch You. I tried to watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but I honestly thought it was too weird and couldn't make it through the first episode.

I've really wanted to video chat with some friends, or have a Netflix Party, so if you want to join in, let me know and I may plan something fun like that. We'll see. :D

Anyways, I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop with life, so there you go! Let me know if you are bored and want to practice social distancing hangouts. Or if you need recommendations for books, movies, shows, music, or really anything at all.

We're all bored here, so don't be afraid to reach out!

Love you all lots! Bye, friends!

Natalie
